Better finance for houses for sale in Cardiff?

Househunters hoping to buy property for sale in Cardiff may benefit from more competition in the current mortgage market.

The Welsh capital offers all the advantages of living in a large city – entertainment, attractions and varied employment opportunities.

Now those hoping to enjoy the restaurants of Cardiff Bay on a more regular basis may find higher loan-to-value mortgage deals on the market.

John Charcol believes people who do not have much equity may find it easier to access mortgage finance.

Ray Boulger, senior technical manager for the mortgage adviser, explained: "What we have seen over the last year is rather more competition in the market for loans up to 80 and 85 per cent [loan-to-value]."

The market has improved over the past few months, he added.

In addition, the British Bankers Association (BBA) has announced that 31,660 mortgages were approved for house purchases in March, compared to 30,178 in February.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800515496-ADNFCR
