Barnet: Commuters rejoice in London borough

While there will be some people for whom the lure of the big lights
and all of the glitz and glamour will attract them to live in
London as well as work there, for many capital workers, it will be
far more convenient and affordable for them to live outside the
city and commute in each day.
If this is something that you are looking for as a buyer, then you
might think about turning towards one of the boroughs that exist on
the outskirts of the capital itself as an alternative to the city
centre. These offer the chance to live in close proximity to your
workplace but while also having the relative quiet of being away
from the busy streets.
One such area that will be perfect for this will be discovered by
those who are out and seeking
property for sale in Barnet. This is a small suburban area in
the London borough of the same name which acts perfectly as a
commuter base.
Travel will be the main thing that people working in London will
worry about, and this will not be an issue from Barnet. As well as
being served by a wide array of London bus services, it is also on
the Underground network. High Barnet station is on the Northern
Line, and it has services every three to nine minutes during busy
periods, making the 10.2 mile journey to Charing Cross a
breeze.
Of course, transport will not be everything, however. While it is
important, residents of any commuter area will also want to make
sure they have a place to live that offers them much to do when
they aren't at work, and this is another area Barnet excels
in.
The town has its own Odeon cinema for those looking to catch the
latest Hollywood releases, while it is also home to a number of
other different areas that will be ideal for a spot of evening or
weekend entertainment including the likes of the Barnet Museum and
the All Saints Art Centre.
There are also a wide array of restaurants on offer, meaning that
people do not have to go into the city itself when they are looking
to enjoy a night out with a partner or friends. Cuisine includes
French, Italian, South-East Asian and Chinese among others.
And for a little bit of community spirit, residents can also enjoy
the annual Barnet Fair, an event where they can take part in the
funfair, ideal for families who have kids.
