Attractive transport links from historical Worcester

The city of Worcester, in the county of Worcestershire, is a West Midlands city which is situated almost halfway between Birmingham and Gloucester. It is located 30 miles south of the former and 29 miles north of the latter.

Worcester has a rich history, the most notable of which can be epitomised by its cathedral, which was the site of the final battle of the English Civil War, where Oliver Crowell's troops defeated King Charles II's Cavaliers.

For people looking for property for sale in Worcester, one of the most attractive aspects of the city will be the ease from which they can access the rest of the country. The city is located just to the west of the M5, which can be accessed via Junction 6. From here, London is only 120 miles away, and easily reachable for those who have to go on business trips.

Similarly, Birmingham and Gloucester are easily reachable by road, leaving many commuters seeing Worcester as a viable option.

The city also has two railway stations, Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill, which both provide regular services to both Birmingham and London via First Great Western, further strengthening its position as an attractive city for commuters who still want to work in the bigger cities.

Education wise, Worcester can also be an attractive option for students. The city is home to one of the country's fastest rising universities, the University of Worcester, which is continually growing in terms of size of the student body, and the academic reputation it holds.

And for older people who simply want to enjoy the culture and scenery which the city of Worcester has to offer, there are a number of historical sites, from the old Tudor buildings still standing in the city, to the Georgian Worcester Royal Infirmary building, which is expected to host a new medical museum in the near future.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801227612-ADNFCR
