A major London centre without the drawbacks, say hello to Barking

A major London centre without the drawbacks, say hello to Barking

Set in the heart of bustling suburban Essex, Barking offers many of the advantages that come with living close to the capital and in such a lively country without the drawbacks that come with living bang in the centre of London.

Barking itself is part of the London borough of Barking and Dagenham and was earmarked as one of 35 major centres in Greater London by the London plan. The area is currently undergoing large regeneration which includes investment into shopping and business infrastructure as well as plans for thousands of new homes.

The regeneration of Barking centres on the main two parts of the town, Barking town centre and Barking riverside. The riverside development is part of a much larger series of development taking place throughout areas of east London to regenerate economies and create more jobs.

The area is already well served in terms of schools and other amenities and that is set to increase once regeneration of the riverside area is complete. This will allow residents access to 2km of riverside amenities.

Many people look for property to rent in Barking as an alternative to living in the centre of London, a smart decision. Barking and surrounding Essex towns offer a lively nightlife as well as impressive shopping and eating facilities. It offers all this without the hassle and overpopulation that the capital city sometimes includes.

The town also has impressive transport links to the capital and even further afield. Its main tube stop is Barking although there are others in the near vicinity including Upney, East Ham and Becontree. In terms of rail links, Dagenham Dock rail station connects directly to Stratford which in turn separates off, offering various routes further afield.

Barking is a town on the move and is clearly well thought of to be named one of the 35 major centres. With regeneration plans, it's pull looks set to increase further. ADNFCR-1222-ID-800741040-ADNFCR
