Houses to rent in Devon and Cornwall due for demand boost?

Houses to rent in Devon and Cornwall could see a boost in demand this summer due to the popularity of holidays in the West Country.

According to statistics from www.uktourism.co.uk, brochures for the towns have seen the most requests from British holidaymakers.

Three brochures from Devon and two from Cornwall currently dominate the top ten.

Ginna Clark from www.uktourism.co.uk said: "It’s no great surprise that the West Country continues to attract vast numbers of tourists thanks to its milder climate and outstanding scenery and beaches."

The popularity of the town with tourists could result in greater returns for buy-to-let investors in the area.

Research from Knight Frank says bookings for self-catering property to rent in Cornwall, Devon and other south-west coastal towns are up by almost 70 per cent compared to 2010.

Increased demand for property to rent in the south west could spur landlords to buy houses for sale in Devon or Cornwall ahead of peak summer months.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800481071-ADNFCR
